The County Collector of Revenue is the elected official responsible for collecting current and delinquent property taxes for the county and various political subdivisions, within the county, which have authorized property tax levies.

 

The Collector is responsible for the accounting and distribution of collections to tax entities such as schools, cities, libraries, and fire districts.  The Collector also collects merchant license fees. 

 

The Collector collects taxes that are based on the amount of your assessed valuation determined by the Assessor.   

 

Current tax statements are mailed in mid November.  These are due and payable by December 31st (post marked by Dec. 31st), without penalties and interest.

 

Delinquent tax statements are mailed in March, April, and  May.

 

Delinquent tax sales are held the fourth Monday of August, starting at 10:00am.

 

 Payment Options:  Cash (in office only), Checks, Money Orders, and Cashier Checks.
